Following his arrival at West Ham United this weekend, Ghana star Mohammed Kudus has reunited with former Ajax teammate Edson Álvarez.
“West Ham United are delighted to announce the signing of Mohammed Kudus.
“The Hammers fought off intense competition from some of Europe’s leading clubs to secure the services of the exciting Ghana international attacker from Ajax.
“The 23-year-old joins the Irons on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee, becoming the Club’s fourth major summer signing following his former Ajax teammate and Mexico international Edson Álvarez, Greece defender Dinos Mavropanos and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse,” an official club statement from West Ham United said today.
Mohammed Kudus and Edson Álvarez played together at Dutch club Ajax for a couple of seasons and enjoyed success with the team before their trophy-less campaign last season.
At West Ham United, the duo will hope to continue their development while competing with some of the best players in the world in the English Premier League.
