Monreal and Bellerin Expected to Feature in North London Derby as Doubt Remains Over Santi Cazorla

Arsenal full-backs Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin are both expected to be fit enough for Sunday's eagerly anticipated north London Derby against Tottenham, but fellow Spaniard Santi Cazorla remains a doubt in central midfield.

Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that Monreal would undergo tests on Thursday and Friday to determined his availability for the weekend.

The player himself, who missed the recent wins over Sunderland and Ludogorets with a thigh problem, seemed to be in fine spirits on Thursday afternoon as he posted a training picture on Instagram.

"Good feeling training today!! Looking forward the derby," Monreal said in the associated caption.

Speaking about Bellerin this week, Wenger said: "I left him behind (for Ludogorets) because I was cautious with him. We could have forced the issue, he could have played in Bulgaria, but he should be alright."

The young defender has only been suffering with a minor knock, but Cazorla may not be so lucky after struggling with an Achilles problem.

"For us it is a very important game because we are in a strong position in the league that we want to strengthen," Wenger has said of the game in general this week.

"We are more focused on it being a home game, and whether it is Tottenham or somebody else, we want to win our home games because our position in the league is very important. We go into a period where we play big games and we want to win the big games."

Arsenal are unbeaten since the opening day of the season and have won 12 of their last 14 games in all competitions. Spurs, on the other hand, haven't won in their lastsix games.
