More still to come says Howe

Head coach Eddie Howe is excited about the potential of his Bournemouth squad, with the Cherries having won their first two games of the new Premier League season.

A 2-0 home win over newly-promoted Cardiff City was backed up by a 2-1 victory at West Ham last weekend, leaving Howe very happy with the way the Cherries began their new campaign.

I'm excited that the team have played so well in the two games, but know that there is more to come.

However, he believes that his side are far from the finished article and he is looking forward to what he hopes lies ahead over the course of the next few months.

He told reporters ahead of a Saturday visit from Everton: "I think we've shown in the two games some really good signs of what the team could be, glimpses of what the future may hold.

"But we've still got to deliver that and we know in the Premier League how difficult that can be.

"I'm excited that the team have played so well in the two games, but know that there is more to come.

"There are players that we haven't seen yet who I think can really contribute to the season - I think that's really exciting for everybody.

"The strength in depth we have, although not high on numbers, is high on quality."

In six previous Premier League meetings with Everton, the home side has come out on top on five occasions, with the Cherries winning this fixture 2-1 last season.

They are 10/1 to repeat that scoreline on Saturday and are 11/4 to keep a clean sheet, with striker Callum Wilson 7/5 to score at any time for the hosts.
