More work to do to be ready for the WCQ - Andre Ayew

Andre Ayew, captain of the Black Stars, says the team still has a lot of work to do before the World Cup qualifiers start.

However, the Black Stars played two high-profile friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco, with Ghana failing to win either of the games.

The first friendly against Morocco ended 1-0 in Rabat while the second friendly against the Elephants of Ivory Coast ended 0-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The 0-0 draw against Ivory Coast at the Cape Coast Stadium left Ghanaians unimpressed with the performance of the team.

Ayew, on the other hand, expressed his delight after the Ivory Coast draw but underlined that the squad must achieve more before the World Cup qualifiers begin in September.

"2 good games vs 2 top teams. Lots of encouraging stuff but still more work to do to be ready for the WCQ in September.. thanks for ur support we keep going," the former Swansea City attacker tweeted.
