Moritz-Broni Kwarteng celebrates his return and debut with VfL Bochum

Moritz-Broni Kwarteng celebrated his recovery on Saturday afternoon after suffering from long-term pubic bone problems.

These have stopped the attacking player, who only joined VfL in the summer, from making his Ruhrpott debut. Both of those things changed in the road game against RB Leipzig when head coach Thomas Letsch brought on the 25-year-old in the 72nd minute.

Bochum's away game against RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena ended in a goalless draw.

Moritz-Broni Kwarteng took part in first-team training for the first time at VfL Bochum on Tuesday 22nd August.

On 22 June 2023, Moritz-Broni Kwarteng moved to Bundesliga club VfL Bochum. He signed a contract until 30 June 2027.

The offensive midfielder joined from Magdeburg for about a million euros.

Kwarteng was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and is of Ghanaian descent.

VfL Bochum will play Hannover 96 in a friendly game during the international break. After the international break, Bochum will take on Freiburg in the league.
