German-born Ghanaian attacker Moritz-Broni Kwarteng scored in FC Magdeburg's 2-1 win against Braunschweig in the German Bundesliga 2 on Saturday evening.
After five minutes, Jamie Lawrence missed a Baris Atik free-kick at the far post for FC Magdeburg. In the 13th minute, Wintzheimer got Braunschweig's first chance from distance. Moritz-Broni Kwarteng scored from the first direct shot for the blue and whites in the 22nd minute.
Both sides emerged from the locker room unchanged after the break. It took a long time until the first appealing scoring opportunity arrived in the second half when FC Magdeburg increased their lead to 2-0 thanks to substitute ITatsuya's goal.
However, 20 minutes before the final whistle, the hosts scored through Antony Ujah.
Moritz-Broni Kwarteng was substituted in the 62nd minute due to a possible injury. The 24-year-old has made 27 appearances, scored nine goals, and assisted two in the German second division this season.
FC Magdeburg will take on Hamburger SV in the next league game.
