Moritz Broni Kwarteng starts full first team training with Bochum

Moritz-Broni Kwarteng took part in first-team training for the first time at VfL Bochum on Tuesday.

The offensive midfielder joined from Magdeburg for about a million euros but has been plagued by hip and adductor injuries for the last six weeks. Despite the extended rest, he has not accomplished his full full training.

"Over the course of the next week, he could perhaps be fully integrated into team training," explained head coach Thomas Letsch to the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung about Kwarteng, who trained individually in the afternoon.

“We knew beforehand that we had to be patient. I'm happy that he was there today and I hope he doesn't miss another session soon.

Bochum may likely require reinforcements after suffering a 0-5 defeat to Stuttgart in the Bundesliga opener.

Ghana's Christopher Antwi-Adjei started the game in attack against Stuttgart alongside Asano and Hofmann. Antwi-Adjei lasted 65 minutes at the MHP Arena on August 19th.
