Morocco’s Professional League “Botola Pro 1” resumed on Monday (27 July 2020) after more than four months of stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two rescheduled games were played as “Botola” resumed, with former champions Raja Casablanca held to a barren stalemate with hosts Difaa Jadida, while Hassania Agadir emerged 1-0 victorious over Raja Beni Mellal.

Difaa missed a chance to win the game when Tanzania’s Simon Msuva’s penalty rebounded from the woodwork to see both sides settling for a goalless draw. This season CAF Champions League semifinalists Raja whose last title dates back to 2012-13 remained sixth with 29 points, but with five games in hand. Difaa are eighth with 26 points, with two postponed games.

In Agadir, HUSA as Hassania are well known scored the game’s lone goal at the hour mark, thanks to Mehdi Obila’s goal. HUSA who reached this season CAF Confederation Cup semifinals remained 14th while Raja Beni Mellal is rock bottom with just 8 points from 20 games.

Holders and record winners Wydad takes on MC Oujda on Tuesday in another rescheduled game. Wydad tops charts with 36 points, with two games in hand.
