Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has described his new-signing Nemanja Matic as a footballing genius.

The Serbian, who previously under Mourinho at Chelsea, has joined United in a £40m move.
"He needs time but (his) experience, intelligence, a genius in the way he thinks - he thinks football," Mourinho said after United's friendly game against Sampdoria.

"We will help him to be ready sooner rather than later."
