United thumped Swans 4-0, thanks to goals from Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

Mourinho told MUTV: "I'm happy. Very happy. With the performance. The points. The scoreline. The way we exposed their psychological fragility.

"What I don't like is people see 4-0 and think it was an easy match. It wasn't. But the team is consistent and is playing well. They're confident.

"Let's carry on."

He added: "We've had a strong preseason. But there's also a strong bench with international players."

Mourinho also spoke of Eric Bailly's goal, his first for the club.

"Our defenders aren't giants, but they're physically strong and he showed good instincts. We want more goals from our defenders."

The manager concluded, admitting: "Last season we also had six points from our first two matches and finished sixth, so this means nothing. It just means we're playing well."
