Ghanaian international, Mubarak Wakaso has expressed delight after helping Deportivo Alaves to post a 1-0 win over Levante in the opening weekend of the La Liga season.
The two clubs locked horns last Sunday for a matchday one fixture of the 2019/2020 edition of the top-flight league in Spain.
The Black Stars midfielder was handed a spot on the team’s starting lineup and put up and impressive performance to help them amass all three points on the day. A strike from new recruit Joselu separated the two clubs after 90 minutes of entertaining football.
In a post on his official Twitter handle, Mubarak Wakaso has shared, “First game first, Plus 3 important points. Good job done by the boys, the fans and was amazing as always”.
The former Villarreal midfielder continues to be linked with a move away from the El Glorisso but is expected to feature for the side when they host Espanyol on match week 2.
