Mubarak Wakaso focused on Shenzhen FC after collapsed Valencia move

Ghana international, Mubarak Wakaso is focusing on his time at Chinese Super League outfit Shenzhen FC following a failed move to Spanish La Liga side Valencia.

The experienced midfielder was a transfer target of the Spanish outfit in the winter transfer window after ending his 2021 season in China on a high.

Unfortunately, due to an injury that saw Mubarak Wakaso not playing any game for Ghana at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, he did not move.

Sources have this week confirmed that Valencia pulled out of the move to sign the combative midfielder due to the injury.

Moving on, Mubarak Wakaso who is now close to regaining full fitness has set sight on helping his Shenzhen FC side in the 2022 Chinese Super League season.

If he manages to find his feet in the next few weeks, he could be one of the players that will be invited in late March to feature for Ghana in the final phase of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
