Ghanaian international Kevin Prince Boateng has stated that his move to Barcelona came to him as a shock and never anticipated something of this nature was going to happen.
Boateng completed a loan move to the Catalan giants last week from Italian side Sassuolo with an option for Barca to buy in the summer.
It was a matter of hours the deal got completed after it was rumoured Barca were interested in the 31-year old.
Boateng revealed, "When did my agent call me and tell me I was going to Barça? It was madness! I could not sleep at night when I knew I had the opportunity to join FC Barcelona.
"Saturday just before we had an important match with Sassuolo against Inter. Between the pressure of this match, the opportunity to join Barça ... and at the end of the day my agent came and told me we were going to Barcelona. I thought it could not be a joke!"
He played 63 minutes on his debut last Wednesday in their 2-0 defeat against Sevilla but warmed the bench as they beat Girona 2-0 on Sunday.
