Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori says his family have been his motivation after a stellar campaign at Moreirense FC.
The 24-year-old played a huge role for his outfit, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist in 32 games in the second-tier as the club secured promotion to the Portuguese top-flight.
Ofori, who is out of contract was adjudged with the midfielder of the Month award in April following his swashbuckling performance.
“First of all, I want to thank everyone, including the fans, the whole team, even those behind the scenes and also my family for supporting me so much along the way”, explained the player.
“He is the reflection of my work and daily effort, my motivation is my family. When I think about them, I want to work harder, I want to run more, I want to play more. It's because of them that I feel motivated to go further. Since my first day at work, my family has been my motivation”, he said.
The midfielder joined the club last summer, signing a one-year deal. His contract will elapse at the end of this month.
