Defender Nicholas Opoku says he is keen on playing well to help Amiens SC do well in the French Ligue 2 throughout the 2020/2021 football season.

The young defender prior to the closure of the summer transfer window sealed a loan move to the French lower-tier club from Italian Serie A side Udinese.

He has instantly had an impact and remains a key man for Amiens SC in a season where they hope to gain promotion back to the French Ligue 1.

Opening up on duties for his club and playing for his national team in an interview, Nicholas Opoku says his aim is to help the team do very well in the Ligue 2.

My goal since the start of the season has been to help the team to be well placed. I can also decide not to go to international matches, it's part of the job, you work for your team but also for your country.

“Personally, my mentality is to always be positive on and off the pitch to help the teams I play for,” the Ghana defender told Romain PECHON in an interview.

This season, Nicholas Opoku has played in 11 matches for Amiens SC and has one assist to his name.
