My goalkeeper was indiscipline, he should have controlled his temper - Michael Osei

Bibiani God Stars coach Michael Osei is not happy with his goalkeeper’s behavior during their match week four encounter against Accra Hearts of Oak.

The manager believes his team could have kept their 1-0 lead on Saturday, but the red card cost them as the Phobians won 2-1.

A brilliant goal from Prince Owusu just after nine minutes appeared to have been enough for the visitors, but with just 14 minutes remaining, Hearts of Oak super-sub Isaac Mensah raced through to equalize.

Gladson Awako's spectacular free-kick in the 87th minute gave the Phobians a dramatic victory.

Michael Osei, who was unhappy, stated that his goalkeeper should have controlled his temper.

“I think it was a very difficult game. We all know and then we were better until the 60th minute red card. It’s very painful lose because it was a game that we were very organized, we frustrated them until we got that card but all the same we have to learn something about it and then we do better in the next game. This is the game that we were up. They couldn’t create a lot of chances while playing at home but very unfortunate that we conceded that card. It caused us a lot of problems,” he said after the game.

“The goalkeeper was indiscipline. He should have controlled his temper because we have come to play away in such a tough game and you couldn’t control your heart. I mean is not good for the team. He should have controlled his temper. That’s the word I will use,”
