Hearts of Oak head coach, Martin Koopman has admonished fans to back his team as the side works hard to fight for trophies.

Two matches into the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, the Phobians have recorded one win and one defeat as well.

On Sunday, the capital based club played their first match at home at the Accra Sports Stadium and cruised past Nsoatreman FC with a 1-0 victory.

Speaking in his post-match interview, head coach Martin Koopman indicated that he is happy with the three points, adding that his young team of young players is beginning to gel.

"It's a young team and they are gelling well. I am happy we won today after an unfortunate start in the first match. Because the players were down after the match in Tamale, we needed to up our game and respond quickly,” the experienced tactician said.

Up next for Hearts of Oak, the Phobians will take on Bofoakwa Tano in Week 4 of the Ghana Premier League season.

Coach Koopman and his players will resume full training tomorrow as part of preparations for the upcoming contest.
