The head coach of Accra Lions, Ibrahim Tanko is confident that his team will find form very soon.
After six games into the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, the capital-based club only has five points from a possible 18.
On Friday afternoon, Accra Lions hoped to end a four-game winless streak but suffered a 3-1 defeat to Real Tamale United.
Speaking in a post-match interview, coach Ibrahim Tanko said it’s unfortunate his side is struggling to win games.
He, however, had optimism that Accra Lions will continue working hard to turn things around.
"It’s very unfortunate for us. We have played three games here and zero points. That is very bad for us. But we are a young team and we have to keep on working and hope that we find a win soon.
“We are a young team. We have to continue working and definitely better times will come. I will talk to the players, we will watch the videos, and correct our mistakes. That’s the best way to go,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko said.
Up next for Accra Lions, the team will face off with Bofoakwa Tano away from home.
