In a move aimed at bolstering their defensive line, Napoli is poised to make a significant transfer switch, setting their sights on RC Lens defender Kevin Danso as a potential replacement for the departing Kim Min-jae.

According to information from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, new Napoli coach, Rudi Garcia, has made Kevin Danso a priority to replace Kim Min-jae who is obviously very close to joining Bayern Munich.

With a profile that is very similar to the South Korean defender, the 24-year-old Austrian-born Ghanaian defender has had two very good seasons in the Lensoise colors and is part of the standard Ligue 1 team for the 2022-2023 season.

Naples is not the only club seriously interested in Danso. Indeed, several English clubs, and in particular Newcastle, are in the pursuit. Napoli's interest could therefore well encourage the Austrian's English suitors to go on the offensive.

Under contract until 2026 with the Sang et Or, Kevin Danso is valued at around 35/40 million euros by the board of the artesian club.
