It looks as though Jorginho’s long-awaited move to Manchester City is nearing a conclusion, with reports indicating the midfielder will join the Premier League champions in a €55 million move.
The Italian international has been linked with a move to the Citizens since the conclusion of the domestic season, but while personal terms have long been agreed on, the two clubs have so far failed to finalize a transfer fee.
That looks to have changed according to Tuttomercatoweb, as it’s believed Napoli have given the green light on a €55m move.
As for personal terms, Jorginho is expected to sign a five-year contract that will see him pocket €4.6m a campaign.
Napoli left the midfielder out of their pre-season training camp squad earlier on Monday, and this latest news all but confirms that a deal is imminent.
Jorginho joined Napoli from Hellas Verona in January 2014. Since then, he has netted six goals in 160 appearances in all competitions for the Partenopei.
