Kalidou Koulibaly is set to extend his stay at Napoli after putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
The centre-back has become a mainstay in the Partenopei’s defence with a series of superb performances since arriving from Belgian club Genk in 2014.

Despite strong interest from the likes of Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal, Koulibaly has committed his future to the Serie A runners up, with Napoli taking to Twitter to announce the 27-year-old had agreed a contract extension until 2023.
Koulibaly had three years remaining on his existing deal but his new contract does not include a release clause, and is believed to see the former Metz star increase his salary to €3.5 million per season, according to Gazzanet.
The France-born Senegal international has entered his fifth season at the Stadio San Paolo, and has scored eight goals in 165 appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Koulibaly was part of the Napoli side to lift the 2014 Suppercoppa Italiana.
