Laurent Blanc, the former France manager, spoke about his future and rumoured links to the Manchester United and Barcelona jobs in an interview with AFP recorded by BeIN Sport.

In 2020, the former international defender returned to manage Al-Rayyan after a four-year absence. He won four Ligue 1 titles with Bordeaux and subsequently Paris Saint-Germain. He manages James Rodrguez, Yacine Brahimi, and Steven Nzonzi, among others.

“[The links] are not relevant now. I’m here now. I’ve fought to have good players come here. I enjoy managing in Qatar. It’ll last however long it does – a year, a year and a half, two years or two months – I have no idea. It’s a personal journey.”

“It’s not a lack of ambition, it’s a reality. I am in Qatar and for now that’s all I’m interested in.”
