NC Special Tier II: Nzema Kotoko – Unistar Academy – The battle of the minnows

Nzema Kotoko will come up against giant killers Unistar Academy in the semi finals of the tier two league of the Special Competition.

The two Division One clubs defied odds to make it to the final four of the competition.

Both sides had to grind a difficult results away from home to qualify to the last four of the competition.

Unistar Academy beat Proud United by 3-0, whilst Nzema Kotoko knocked out Hearts of Lions 4-2 on penalties to secured their last four spot.

Both sides knocked out Premier League clubs on their way to this stage unlike the other semi finalist Kotoko and Ashanti Gold who will be testing Premier League opponents for the first time.

Nzema Kotoko eliminated their Regional rivals Karela United in the round 32, whilst Unistar Academy also knocked Accra Hearts of Oak in the round of 16.
