The NCC led by their Chairman, Christopher Demenya gave out 3000 tissue paper boxes, 100 hand sanitisers, 100 liquid soap and GH₵10, 000 to the Porcupine Warriors.

As of 10 April 2020, a total of 27,346 persons have been tested with 408 being positive for COVID-19, with eight (8) deaths.

As part of precautionary measures against the spread of the disease, the government has put a ban on all public gatherings including all sporting activities.

In line with that, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also suspended the 2019/20 football season until further notice.

The disease also called COVID-19 has massively affected most clubs in Ghana who solely depend on gate proceeds to survive.
