Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, the Head of Public Relations and Strategy for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has urged football professionals to actively seek and capitalize on opportunities within the football industry.

His comments came during the Sports Business Series at the All Stars Festival, currently taking place in Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region.

Addressing the attendees, Mr. Armstrong-Mortagbe highlighted a persistent issue where football professionals often cite a lack of resources, despite the availability of potential supporters within their communities.

He stated, "We frequently complain about our struggles to secure resources for our football ambitions. However, there are individuals and organizations around us who are willing to support us if we present ourselves effectively. The key is to be intentional in our approach, and success will follow."

Speaking to students and other football professionals, Armstrong-Mortagbe emphasized the importance of taking education seriously and engaging with people and information sources to identify career opportunities in sports, particularly in football.

"We spend time on many unproductive activities and then claim there's no clear future in sports management. If we consciously research career opportunities in football and sports, we will find them," he asserted.

He encouraged everyone present at the seminar, as well as those participating online, to identify their unique positions within the industry and diligently work towards making an impact in their chosen careers.

"It is my firm belief that each of us can, and must, find our niche within the industry and work hard to utilize these spaces to make a significant impact," Armstrong-Mortagbe stressed.

The Sports Business Series is a seminar segment of the All Stars Festival organized by the BAC Group. This year's event, the third edition, was held at the University of Development Studies in Tamale, Ghana.
