New Ghana forward Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer confirms close contact with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo

Germany-born forward of Ghanaian descent, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer says he is in close contact with Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.

According to the player who has become eligible to play for the Black Stars after engagements with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), he has been in talks with coach Otto Addo since December 2021.

"I would be willing to play for Ghana. I met with Otto Addo last December, when he was not yet a national coach. Since then, we have been in close contact,” he said.

In his interview, the youngster further noted that he is working on acquiring his Ghanaian passport and will be happy to play for the Black Stars.

“I am already taking care of the Ghanaian passport. I would be happy if I could be present at the next international matches in September,” he added.

This summer, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer has joined German Bundesliga 2 side Hamburg SV.

He will be monitored by Coach Otto Addo in the next few months for a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
