The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana have unveiled a new office for its operation at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The office was unveiled after the annual congerss of Africa’s Division of FIFPro was held in Accra.

Present at the unveiling was General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association Anthony Baffoe, National Sports Authority Boss Robert Mensah Sarfo and General Secretary of FIFPro Theo van Seggelen.

General Secretary of FIFPro commended Anthony Baffoe and his team for an amazing work.

“This is amazing and I’m so proud of the leadership of the players union. This is the way to go and other federations must take from this example. There is no players union without an office and what I have seen today is so amazing,” he said.

Geremi Njitap, who is a member of FIFPro also asked other ex-footballers to emulate Tony Baffoe’s leadership.

“People like Anthony Baffoe, you see what he is doing because they know. He was a player and today he has another side of him, he has passed his degerees to manage an organization like this so that is important and it will be easier because he knows what happens on the pitch and now he has experience what happens off it because he has experience in administration.”

The Association seeks to protect and defend the rights of footballers.
