Newcastle learn Shaw price as Man Utd put fullback up for sale

Manchester United have put Luke Shaw up for sale.

Newcastle United have already learned the asking price for the United fullback Luke Shaw.

The Sun says Toon boss Rafa Benitez has made an enquiry about Shaw – but has been put off by his £20million pricetag.

The Newcastle boss wants a left-back in January and was keen on Manchester United's out-of-favour England international.

But even though the Red Devils are willing to take a £7m hit on the £27m they paid to sign Shaw from Southampton in 2014, that is still too much for the penny-pinching Toon.

And a loan move also appears out of the question with Jose Mourinho wanting to sell the full-back permanently.
