Newell\'s Old Boys admit father of Luciano Cingolani claims Man Utd offer

Newell's Old Boys say they're yet to hear from Manchester United about Luciano Cingolani.

Club secretary, Jose Menchon, has revealed that Congolani's father was confident that United would make an offer - but so far that offer is yet to materialise.

“The case of Cingolani is very particular because the father wanted to take him away, then he said he was going to bring an offer from Manchester United, but no offer came to the club," said Menchon.

The club have taken the step of publicly discussing the situation after recently losing another academy product, Castro, who departed for rivals Boca Juniors.

Added Menchon: “What happens is that after Castro, who went to Boca and we are about to agree a compensation, the hive was rattled."
