Nice drop interest in Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu

Francis Amuzu's move to Nice appears to be off the table. Nice coach Lucien Favre is no longer expecting the Anderlecht player to arrive.

According to the French newspaper Nice Matin the winger was expected to arrive in Nice to undergo mandatory medicals. The reported move did not happen as the winger was rather playing against Paide in the Europa Conference League.

Nice coach Lucien Favre speaking to the press on Friday gave an update on their pursuit of the winger.

"It seemed to happen, but today I don't know anymore. There are players who want to come, but then they don't want it anymore," Favre said.

Last season the Ghanaian-born Belgian winger made 37 appearances in the Belgian top flight. He scored nine goals and assisted three.

Amuzu signed his first professional contract on 23 August 2015 with Anderlecht for 3 years.

He made his professional debut for Anderlecht in a 1–0 Belgian First Division A win over K.A.S. Eupen on 22 December 2017, scoring his side's game-winning goal.
