Ghanaian centre-back Nicholas Opoku was shown a red card in his team's 2-0 away win over Valenciennes in the French Ligue 2.
The former Udinese man received his dismissal in the 55th minute of Friday night. His exit, however, did not stop the club from claiming three points.
Alphonse opened the scoring for Amiens in the 81st minute and Gomis doubled the lead four minutes later.
Opoku joined Amiens on loan in the 2020 summer transfer window after a successful spell with the club last season.
Amiens are currently 9th in Ligue 2.
