According to Nigerian media reports, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has filed a complaint against CAF for granting Nigeria permission to host 60,000 spectators at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Nigeria will officially have 20,000 more spectators than Ghana did in the first leg, which ended 0-0 on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The report also states that the GFA wants CAF to stick to the earlier principle of having 30,000 supporters at the stadium and also not accept Nigeria's intentions to open the gates.
According to the Nigerian reports, the GFA is concerned about the risk of a stampede if the decision to permit Nigeria that large number of spectators is allowed to stand. CAF has engaged with the NFF on crowd control techniques.
CAF will either approve or reject Ghana's protest before tomorrow. For the time being, it is quite improbable, given the NFF claims they have already received orders for around 50,000 tickets, the report said.
