Chairman for National Chapters Committee for Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, Elvis Herman Hesse has confirmed that Coach Nii Odoom will still lead the club in the 2020/21 league season.

Many people in the football fraternity were expecting Hearts of Oak to appoint a new head coach ahead of the new season.

Coach Nii Odoom led the club as an interim boss in 2019/20 truncated league season after the departure Coach Kim Grant.

Accra Hearts of Oak were on the 9th position after playing 14 games with 21 points.

There has been a lot of rumours which tags the club on appointing new head coach and even the arrival of their new appointed Technical Director Carlos Vaz Pinto who earlier left the club due to some reasons last week also brought a lot of argument concerning the coaching job.

According to the NCC chairman, Coach Nii Odoom will still lead the club in the coming season.

"Edward Nii Odoom is our coach to lead hearts of oak this season," he told Hot FM.

"He is the coach that all Hearts supporters know and we should all pray for him and the team to deliver this season.

"Our ultimate target is to win the Ghana Premier League but we need to be unity both the technical team, the club management and even the supporters.

"Without that, we cannot win a trophy and I know if there is unity, Hearts if Oak will win a trophy," he added.
