Management of Ghana's Division One outfit Nkoranza Warriors has asked head coach Ayitey Dormon to step aside following their 1-0 loss to Berekum Arsenals on Sunday at the Nkoranza Children's park.

On Monday, the Nkoranza based club made it known to Ayitey Dormon who has been in-charge of the club since last season to vacate the role as head coach to a technical member. The club, however, insists that Ayitey has not been fired but remains a member of the team. Meanwhile, the club is in search of his replacement.

"The Management of Nkoranza Warriors SC have asked the club's Head Coach, Ayitey Dormon to step aside following yesterday's 1-0 home loss against Berekum Arsenals", the club statement reads.

A close source to the team told footballghana.com in an interview that; "There is a plan to offer coach Ayitey Dormon the assistant coach role at the club but its unconfirmed. The management is yet to finalize that and if he is not interested, he can tender in his resignation letter since he's still a member of the club".

The Warriors suffered their second conservative home defeat at the Children's park after last year's defeat to Techiman Eleven Wonders. The result didn't go well with the club hierarchy thus propelled to ask the coach to step aside.
