Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has expressed the view that Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor will not allow anyone to dictate to him during his time in that position.
The coach was appointed as the head of the technical team of the senior national team of Ghana in January following the departure of experienced coach James Kwesi Appiah whose contract ended in December 2019.
According to Asamoah Gyan, he has done a bit of inquiry about coach CK Akonnor and he is confident the former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko coach will not allow anyone to impose anything on him.
“I’m reliably informed that he quitted with most of the clubs because he doesn’t want anyone to dictate for him”, Gyan said in an interview with Adom TV.
He added, “If you influence players on him and he don’t perform whom are you going to blame. But I think CK has played in Germany and with his mentality, no one can dictate for him".
Asamoah Gyan further called on the citizenry to support coach CK Akonnor to help him succeed.
