No One Here Wants Him to Leave! Manchester City Rubbish Claims of Wanting to Sell Sergio Aguero

Published on: 05 February 2017

Manchester City have categorically denied claims of the club wanting to offload striker Sergio Aguero in the summer, despite the player being started on the bench in his last two games.

The arrival of Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus has seen Pep Guardiola decide to use Aguero as a substitute as of late, and rumours of a summer exit are now swirling.

Real Madrid and Chelsea are both said to be keen on signing the Argentinian star. And speaking after City's 2-1 win over Swansea, during which Jesus scored both goals, Aguero insisted that his future will be decided by the club.

I have to help the team as much as I can in these three months, afterwards we'll see what the club wants to do with me," the striker explained.

In these last three months that are left I have to help the club and as I say the club will decide if I have a place here or not.

Now I have to watch what he [Gabriel Jesus] does, to learn a little. I am how I am. I have spent a lot of years in Europe playing this way.

When you're on the bench you have to wait for your opportunity. I have three months to do my best and help the team and we'll see what happens.

MEN Sportare now claiming that a highly-placed source within the club has told them that City have absolutely no plans to get rid of the prolific frontman.

There is no vagueness about our position," the source was cited as saying."We want Sergio to stay.

Pep has repeatedly said he is an important player for us, and if Sergio is saying it is down to the club, well the club really wants him to stay.

No-one here wants him to leave, and Pep has been explicit about that.
