No one should stop Asante Kotoko from playing in Africa - Sarfo Gyamfi

Asante Kotoko must play in Africa next season and try to succeed again, according to club legend Sarfo Gyamfi.

The Porcupine Warriors emerged as winners of the Ghana Premier League with three matches left to play to the end of the season.

After a 1-1 draw with Ashanti Gold last Thursday at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium, Kotoko sealed their 25th league title.

"Asante Kotoko must try and play in Africa this season, no one should stop the club from playing in Africa, we must keep trying and trying untill we succeed in Africa again," Gyamfi told Hot FM.

Asked to rate the performance of Nana Yaw Amponsah as Kotoko's Chief Executive Officer, he added, "I will give Nana Yaw Amponsah 90 percent for this season. He has done so well for the club."

By virtue of winning the league title, Kotoko will represent Ghana at next year's CAF Champions League.

Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum side's will be crowned champions of their 25th Premier League title on Sunday June 12, 2022 when they host Elmina Sharks on match week 33.
