Nolito Says He Has No Idea What Guardiola Was Saying In His Post-Match Rant After Barcelona Defeat

Manchester City forward Nolito has admitted that he wasn't able to understand much of what manager Pep Guardiola was saying after the English side lost 4-0 to Barcelona on Wednesday night.

Guardiola's return to the Camp Nou turned out to be quite disheartening, as a Fernandinho slip allowed Lionel Messi to open the scoring early in the match.

Things went from bad to worse, with Claudio Bravo getting sent off for handling the ball outside of his area. And the La Liga champions would proceed to put three more into the back of City's net.

Nolito was played out on the wing during the match, and was unfortunate to be on the receiving end of a tongue lashing from the former Barca boss, although he had no idea what was being said.

When he was asked - by Spanish press -what Guardiola had said in the dressing room after the match, the 30-year-old admitted that he did not know, as his English isn't up to scratch just yet.

"With my English I'm still a little bad," he said toEl Chiringuito (H/T TheIndependent).

"So I've not really understood much of what Pep has said [to the team] after the game."

Giving his review on the match itself, Nolito said: "It wasa hard game, but we have to move on.

They didn't deserve to win 4-0.

Guardiola, meanwhile, has said that his side were doing well up until the red card

"At that level it is hard, but until 10 against 11 it was open and we were competing against a team with a big personality, he said. But after the card it was over.

"We were there, we were in the game. We were pressing, we had the possession and we made the chances. We did it but we didn't take the chances and you have to do that to win the game

Every game since Celtic has been the same. Against Everton it was the same with an own goal and two missed penalties. We need to change the atmosphere.

"We knew from the beginning it would be a tough group, now we have to focus on Southampton."
