The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Women’s Premier League side Berry Ladies, Gifty Oware-Mensah has praised Black Queens coach, Nora Hauptle for her impact on the team.

Hauple, who was appointed earlier this year has been impressive with the Ghana female senior national team.

The Swiss gaffer is on the verge of qualifying the Black Queens for the 2024 Women’s AFCON scheduled for Morocco next year after missing out on the last edition.

“I think Nora Häuptle’s tenure has been good. It is the number of the games we’ve played so far and how we have appreciated it. I feel that the fundamentals are right now, and that is what it really is," she told Citi Sports.

“I always tell people that, whether we like it or not, there would be a loss, there would be a draw, and then there are wins.

“It is better that we look at the conversation from the perspective of how much we are winning and not look at whose tenure or what tenure it was.

“It is encouraging that the Black Queens are doing better and will continue to do better.

“Women’s league is coming of age and the Women’s football is also coming of age.

Since taking over the team, Nora Hauptle has played seven games, scoring 26 goals and yet to suffer a defeat.

In the 2024 WAFCON qualifiers, the Black Queens will take on Namibia.

Next up for Nora Häuptle and the girls is the 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers against Benin in the second round slated for October.
