Black Stars legend, Michael Essien, has stated that his new adventure at Danish outfit Nordsjaelland is the perfect place for him to learn about coaching.
The former Chelsea man joined the Danish side this summer as a player coach. He has been tasked with helping the players with training drills whilst he pursues his coaching badges.
In an interview with sports magazine I, he stated that his current adventure is the best for him at the moment.
“Tom Vernon knows Ghana and has known me since I was 18, so when we started talking, I thought the best decision was to come here, learn and share my experience with the young players,” Essien stated.
“You always have to start from somewhere when you want to learn. Here is the perfect environment to learn and [head coach] Flemming Pedersen has already been great with me, always asking me to voice my opinion.”
