NorthEast United head coach Robert Jarni has confirmed Black Stars general captain Asamoah Gyan has started training.

The striker has made a quick injury return for NorthEast United ahead of their next week league match but the ISL Giants are looking to replace him

The 34-year-old sustained an early injury in their 3-0 home loss to ATK at home which he lasted only nine minutes.

He lasted for only nine minutes during their home defeat to ATK last Saturday.

The head coach confirmed Gyan's return to training "Gyan is well. He is back with us and training very hard. Maybe we will get a new striker in the future. Maybe in a few more days."

Gyan has netted three times and recorded one assist in his seven appearances for NorthEast United since joining them in summer.
