Ghana international goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has expressed his disappointment following St Gallen’s defeat to Winterthur in the Swiss Super League.

The Black Stars shot stopper kept the post when his side succumbed to a 2-1 away defeat to Winterthur on Sunday.

After the game, Ati-Zigi took to social media to express his frusstartions following his outfit defeat in the week 11 encounter played at the Stadion Schützenwiese

“Not the result we wanted but we keep fighting. Better days ahead,” he wrote, reflecting on the tough loss.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Switzerland international Aldin Turkes shot the host into the lead in the 55th minute before Matteo Di Giust sealed victory for his outfit.

Spanish international Jordi Quintilla pulled one back for St Galen as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Winterthur.

During the match, Ati-Zigi conceded two goals but made two great saves and two clearances.

This season, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has managed only one clean sheet in 11 games.

Despite the setback, St Gallen remain in the third position on the league table, currently trailing the top spot by five points. They'll be looking to bounce back and improve their standing in the league in the games to come.
