Ghana Premier League outfit Nsoatreman have amicably parted ways with coach Maxwell Konadu as he heads to South Africa.

Konadu has left the club to join South African second-tier side Black Leopards on a three-year deal, to get the club back into the top flight.

The former Black Stars assistant coach joined Nsoatreman FC on a two-year deal before the start of the 2023/24 season but his spell at the club has been cut short after securing a move to South Africa.

He won the FA Cup title and also led the club to finish fourth in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season.

A statement from the club has confirmed the departure of the experienced Ghanaian trainer to Black Leopards.

"Nsoatreman Football Club has amicably parted ways with head coach Maxwell Konadu. Maxwell Konadu leaves behind a legacy after clinching the historic FA Cup title and guiding the team to a commendable fourth-place finish in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. He departs as a revered figure and will always be welcomed warmly at our club."

"Our focus remains firmly on our upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign. The departure of Coach Maxwell Konadu does not diminish our aspirations. We are determined to continue our journey towards becoming a prominent force in Ghanaian and African football."

Konadu has a rich CV, having coached Ghana's U20 and U23 teams, and served as Black Stars assistant coach between 2021-2022. He also holds both the CAF Coaching Licence A and B.

Konadu will be joined by two staff members of his choice, while the rest of the technical personnel will be already at the club upon his arrival.

The club has also confirmed that Solly Luvhengo will be his assistant, Thendayo will be the goalkeeper coach, and Ndlovu will be the physical trainer.

Leopards were relegated from topflight football in 2020-21 and have been working to regain promotion.
