Hearts of Oak defender, Nuru Sulley has hailed Samuel Boadu as a father figure, saying the players 'sense of togetherness' after the Phobians beat Kotoko 1-0 on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Boadu joined Hearts at the halfway point of the season and has led them to the top of the league table.

Hearts have scored 22 goals and conceded 16 since taking charge of the team and have undefeated in his last 12 matches.

"Since his appointment, he (Samuel Boadu) showed us love, made us know that we are his children, therefore, we should play with our hearts, and looking at the kind of discipline and training session we undertake, he has really helped us, not forgotten the sense of togetherness he has brought among us. This is what has brought us this far," Sulley told Kumasi FM.

"The league for now I can say it’s ours."

Hearts have now moved three points adrift Kotoko with three matches left to play.

The Phobians need two wins from their last three matches to be crowned champions of the Ghana Premier League.
