Obafemi Martins’ teenage son trades AC Milan for Inter

There are high hopes that Kevin Maussi Martins will follow in the footsteps of his famous father, Obafemi Martins, after swapping the AC Milan youth academy for city neighbours Inter.

The Nigerian international scored 49 goals in 136 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri, netting the Coppa Italia twice and winning a solitary Serie A title during his time in Milan.

Sharing many of his father’s physical characteristics, the 13-year-old also displays blistering pace and an eye for goal but is yet to show any of Obafemi’s gymnastic goal celebrations.

Despite beginning his footballing career across town, Maussi Martins took no time in letting the Interisti know where his allegiances lie through social media.

“My heart has always been Nerazzurri,” is written within Maussi Martins’ Instagram biography.

For the moment, though, it is with Milan that the youngster hit the headlines, scoring a wonder goal for the Under-13 side in March 2018 that gained much media attention.
