Former Ghana player Odartey Lamptey thinks Jordan Ayew is the right person to succeed Asamoah Gyan as the main Ghana striker.
Gyan,32 has been called to the Black Stars for the upcoming Nations Cup qualifier against Sierra Leone despite lack of game time at club level.
Coach Appiah's decision to invite the Ghana all time top scorer has been criticised especially with his lack of game time.
Jordan Ayew has not made the team for some time and many feel coach Appiah is been hard on the Crystal Palace player.
But Odartey Lamptey feels a time will come Jordan will take over the striking position from Gyan.
"Jordan Ayew will be the rightful successor to Asamoah Gyan. He has the capacity to replicate what Asamoah has done and he's young enough to grow in time. He can deliver the goal". He said
