A couple years after his retirement, Belarusian midfielder Alexander Hleb, who turned 40 last May 1st, has officially joined Bahrain side Khalidiya, quitting his retired status therefore.

Last playing for his senior national team and Isloch Minsk Raion, Hleb, back in the 2000's and early 2010's, used to play for such prominent sides as Arsenal, Barcelona FC, and Wolfsburg.

While having won six Belarusian national titles, as a BATE Borisov player, between 1999 and 2015, Hleb accomplished lifting La Liga and Champions League trophies, both in 2008/09. Besides, across his playmaking career, he used to play for a bunch more clubs, notably Stuttgart, Birmingham City, Konyaspor, Genclerbirligi, and Krylia Sovetov.
