German Bundesliga side, VfL Bochum have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei on a three-year deal ahead of the 2021/2 football season.

The winger joined the club as a free agent.

The 27-year-old failed to renew his contract with SC Paderborn 07 at the end of this term after spending three seasons at the Benteler-Arena in the German football contests.

After completing his deal with the club, the lanky winger expressed his joy over the transfer move as he looks forward to having a fine season in the top-flight next term.

"I am looking forward to more than one aspect: I am looking forward to the upcoming challenges with VfL, I am happy to have signed with a traditional club, I am looking forward to many games in a beautiful stadium - hopefully soon again in front of spectators - and I'm particularly happy to be wearing the VfL Bochum jersey, ” Antwi-Adjei told the club's official website

Sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz spoke highly of his new recruited flanksman having joined his side for their next season's league campaign in the summit of German football competition.

"Christopher Antwi-Adjei has a lot of dynamism and can be used variably in the offensive. He has experience in the Bundesliga and the second league and has again proven in the current season that his speed is a problem for many defensive lines, "says Sebastian Schindzielorz added on the same club forum.

The talented winger has this term featured in 31 league games, scoring 4 and assisting 1 for SC Paderborn 07 in the just ended league campaign.

Antwi has been capped once by the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars at the international stage.
