English-born Ghanaian International Tariq Lamptey has sealed his transfer to Brighton and Hove Albion on transfer deadline day.
The teenager has joined from English Premier League side Chelsea where he spent his developmental years
Lamptey's contract with the Blues was due to expire at the end of the season and though Chelsea tried to hand him an extension it couldn't go through.
When Brighton came calling, the 19-year-old and his handlers have agreed that it will be a good move for him. He has therefore grabbed the opportunity and completed transfer to the side on transfer deadline day.
Tariq Lamptey has penned a three-and-a-half year contract that is expected to expire in 2023.
At the end of his move, Chelsea has bagged 4.5 million Euros.
