Great Olympics Board Member Oluboye Commodore is confident the Black Galaxies of Ghana will qualify for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) Tournament.

Ghana scored two second half goals to down Nigeria 2-0 in the 1st leg of the final round qualifier last Sunday.

Hearts of Oak pair Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Seidu Suraj got on target in the second half after both sides went into the break without a goal at the Cape Coast stadium.

"Nigeria is a big football nation. If we are able to beat them here, it means that if we are not careful, they can also beat us there but we have a better team…I am very confident that a 2-0 win for Ghana it’s a done deal for us," he told CITI Sports.

Coach Annor Walker’s side drew 1-1 with King Faisal in a friendly match on Tuesday at the Cape Coast stadium as part of the build up to the game against Nigeria.

The Black Galaxies will travel to Abuja on Friday ahead of the return leg of the CHAN qualifier on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Moshood Abeola stadium in Abuja.
